After talking with an online friend Lynne at Occasional Scrapper
and seeing her stained glass shes working on for her home (Go check it out Its really Beautiful) I had mentioned I used to do stained glass a lot. Other than doing some small pendants now and then and a few carved glass pieces for my clients I hadn't done any real stained glass for at least 10 years. I told Lynne I'd share some photos of my long ago creations. So since I dug up the old photos and scanned them I thought I'd share with you all some of my old pieces.
A carved glass piece I did for Fox 12 TV station. Yes that's me standing in front of my newly installed glass. I did this about 10 years ago.
An etched glass cabinet for a client.
A stained glass piece for a clients front door.
Two carved glass pieces for Atlantis Dental. There much larger IRL.
A stained glass carousel Horse. I must have done this about 25 years ago.
A carved glass Heron.
Two side lites for a clients door.
My first Black carved glass piece about 27 years ago.
A large window for a client. They picked the design and colors. My least favorite piece. Some flowers.
The next three pieces are in my home I did the octagon window when we first bought the place 24 years ago, and its still there.
A chippy cabinet in our bathroom
and another cabinet in our bathroom.
I've done so much more over the years but these are the only photos I could find. I even did a few lamps. Probably the hardest thing to do. Hope you enjoyed my walk down memory lane! LOL

Wow!! you are supper talented.
I agree with Kella -- you're amazing! Beautiful work! :)
These are just beautiful pieces! Why did you stop? I've always wanted to learn how to do stained glass, one of these days I will. I have managed to fit in about 4 classes on making lampwork beads. Really fun - although I got so into it the first time, I put one of my acylic nails in the flame without realizing it - LOL! No harm done - I just quenched it in water!!
Yes Wow Lynn, you are so talented. Your work is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Terri
Oh, my....Lynn...is there anything you cannot do?!?! I LOVE stained glass--something I've always wanted to learn...!
Love the pieces you shared--your "chippy" bathroom cabinets are to die for!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Absolutely STUNNING! I dabbled in glass years ago, so I KNOW what wonderful pieces these are...mine look like cartoons compared to yours.
I also have an 88 yr old friend who did lamps, doors and windows. Truly Works of ART!
You are one super talented gal. Is there anything that you don't do?....you even do windows!!!! LOL
Love all of these! ~ Angela
Wow!!! These are beautiful. Interesting to see the difference in the etched, carved and stained pieces. I think my favorites are the ones that you have done and incorporated into your home. Gorgeous!
Hi Lynn...memories! I helped put myself thru art school teaching stained glass. It was fun but I much prefer mixed media now!You did some beautiful pieces! I love the two sea panels.
Wow, these are beautiful!!! You are so talented!!!
OMG these are gorgeous soooo talented
wow, you do the most amazing work in glass. I am an absolute beginner and I adore working with glass. Why did you stop?
What an amazing talent!!
blown away - again!
Absolutely amazing! Is there anything you don't do :)
luvs and glitter
The etched glass cabinet is my favourite and all the pieces are just fab. I'm in awe you really are very talented, I'm so glad I found your blog.
Wow, these are awesome. I liked your least favorite a lot. It has an end of the day feel when the sun is setting and hues of color in the night sky seem to change and reflect over the mountain tops. My favorite is the dream catcher. Gorgeous, I've never seen one in staind glass before.
Stunningly beautiful work! I love them all - the octagon window in your house is gorgeous. You are an amazing artist, Lynn!
WOW. Is there nothing you cannot turn your hand to?!!! You are a one woman craft gallery. If I was in awe of your talents before I don't know where that leaves me now. Amazing. Lynne M x
Just beautiful....my Dad does Stained Glass and I have a few of his pieces that he had made...and they bring me such joy!!!
You are so talented sweet friend....thanks for sharing with us!!
OMG Lynn - you are amazing! These works are simply unbelievable, what a talented lady you are!
Wow, Lynn, you are so wonderfully talented in so many different media!! Love the carved and stained glass pieces. And seriously, by my calculations, I guess you were doing some of these pieces when you were about 10 to 12 years old!?! (tee heee) Have a great weekend!
Lynn, your stained glass is wonderful. I used to be a stained glass artist as well. One window led to another and I finally opened my own store front. It was successful but fortunately or unfortunately, I sold so much and had so many custom pieces to do that I had to hire people to work for me. I gave them my original designed patterns and they did a great job with them but somehow, I lost something in the process. My own creativity. I think as an artist, we must create and take our work to the very end.
Your pieces are exciting but I understand all too well the need to move on to other areas of art. To only create in one medium causes eventual stagnation...your new work bespeaks of your ongoing journey with art with the wonderment of not knowing where it will lead you. Congratulations!
These are just GORGEOUS! You are uber talented! Lots of work went into these! Just fantastic.
p.s. Rec'd the package yesterday, thanks so much, love it!
I am speechless!!!
Love the bathroom cabinets!
You are talented all round Lynn! I had to think of the lovely window that was put into the new home of Michaela and Sully Quinn, on Dr. Quinn - that TV series, you could easily of made that one too!
Beautiful detailed work!
Oh My, Lynn so wonderful This must take some skill and patience. I wonder why you stopped? Are you happier doing your bit's and bob's now (because they are wonderful)
Love Dawn xx
How fun to travel down Memory Lane. It is good to remind yourself what you accomplished. Lots of work, talent and beauty! Happy creating...
Wow, these are wonderful! I guess a true artist can always make beautiful art, no matter the medium!
WOW, You are so talented, I have to agree with everyone, beautiful work!
Lynn, every time I think you couldn't possibly impress me more, you do it! WOW, girlfriend!!! These are unbelievable!!! You're an amazing artist, and your versatility is incredible!
