Tutorial for Gingersnap Creations - Marker on Acetate Background

When I took on doing the marker tutorial  for Gingersnap Creations I knew I didn't just want to color with markers. I experimented a bit and here's what I came up with.
Supplies: Alcohol markers, I used Tria's , A sheet of Acetate, A gold metallic pen, Alcohol blending Solution, a sponge, black Stazon on ink and stamp of choice.
Color markers randomely on acetate.

Add dots of gold metallic pen.
Add small amount of blending solution on sponge and dab colors together.
Blend until satisfied.
Here I shown it up against a black sheet so you can see all the blending better.
Flip over acetate so your on the other side and stamp image with black Stazon. Let dry completely
Finish card as desired. I mounted mine on a salmon colored card. Experiment, different colored backgrounds will produce different results.

missed a few days visiting your blog. what wonderful things awaited me to look at. your steampunk is always so fabulous. the altered box just blew me away. you can take any stamps and make them into something special. i have some of the OI stamps but didn't get the deep collection because i didn't know what to do with it. now i may have to reconsider them. looks like you made the little periscope yourself. did you glue it together? and what is the part used for the eye piece? and oh my, the CC challenge shabby chic is so elegant. and whatever the really cool gold stuff you melt on with a heat tool is it is so cool. thank you for letting us see all the great projects.

This is lovely, Lynn! I don't have Trias, but maybe I'll try with Copics....not that I have many of those. Beautiful finished piece, too.

Gosh this is gorgeous Lynn! Great tutorial too! It's is such a cool technique.
Isn't it crazy that your peonies are gone and mine just got started last week? It has been a crazy year for weather though. But we are always typically a month behind Boise, because we are a mountain town and our elevation is so much higher. My daughter lives in Boise and my sister in Middleton.
Have a great up-coming week.

You make that look so easy! and it turned out beautiful... I really need to buy more crafting supplies... All I have is the stazon ink! Don't tell my husband he states that I have too much! He doesn't have a clue! Hehe!

This is a great way to get some Alcohol Ink results without having the AI. I don't have any AI but have plenty of Copics! Thanks for the tute!
