The Holidays are upon us.

With my first card for November I thought I'd kick it off with a Christmas card. I'm really pleased with how this came out. The stamp is from I Brake For Stamps The new Snowflake collage. The technique is from TJ the splatter technique from the June 09 issue and the papers are from the new sponsor this month atGingersnap Creations
Paper Temptress Her papers are so yummy. The Lustre Vintage Silver Lustre was perfect for the background of my snowflakes ,it looks as if they are swirling about. I also used the Retro Black Glossy Lustre to frame it all. Be sure and check out all those gorgeous papers.

Changing things up a bit -Blogaversary in Three Days!!!

So I am trying to find a suitable blog background with a new header. I was thinking a winter look with birds ,maybe some evergreens a few snowflakes. I can picture this in my mind but haven't found anything close to what I'm looking for. If I had photo shop and knew how to use it(lol) I could create my own. I could paint my own but winter would be over before I got it done. So this will have to do until I find something more to my liking!
My one year blogaversary is in 3 days. Lots of goodies to share with you all!

I have the BESTEST friends

Last night I met with my stampin GF's Debbie and Mindi for our little monthly get together. Well they surprised me with a little B-day party. Just look at all the wonderful goodies they had for me, there is stamps, a Cuttlebug plate (one I have been longing for) brads, stickers, ephemera, snowflakes, trees,I could go on and on! and some Gorgeous Atc's for Halloween! They know me so well!!! Then Debbie brought out the most incredible desserts, Imagine chocolate moose in a cup made from dark and white chocolate with berries loaded on top and a chocolate tea cup with mocha moose with a Choc straw. I was in chocolate heaven. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! I wish I had a picture to share but we gobbled them up too fast! LOL. Thank you my sweet friends.
That's not all, upon leaving Debbie had a box for each of us with these beautiful home grown gourds and white pumpkins. This gal has a green thumb, well when its not covered in distress inks. LOL!! Thank you both for such a special evening!

A Fanciful Twist Halloween party

~ HALLOWEEN ~ Tonight is the night When dead leaves fly
Like witches on switches Across the sky,
When elf and sprite Flit through the night On a moony sheen
Tonight is the night When leaves make a sound
Like a gnome in his home Under the ground,
When spooks and trolls Creep out of holes Mossy and green
Tonight is the night When pumpkins stare Through sheaves and leaves Everywhere,

When ghouls and ghost And goblin host Dance round their queen. It's Halloween!
