Paint Party Friday or Faux Friday

First let me apologize for the quality of the photo.
I had to take a scan from a photograph I did of this mural.
At Paint Party Friday its week 6 , they asked us how we go about doing a painting.
In this case it was for my client. She wanted a large Trompe l'oeil painting
in her dining room of a garden scene. You can see the size by comparing it to the chandelier hanging in front of it.
After working out the details I lightly sketch my design on the wall
using watercolor pencils, I paint in the sky, mountains and all background images. Then begin layering in all the foreground. When its dry. I taped off for the gate and used a flexible curve for the metal work.
I use regular latex paint so its washable.
Go check out all the artwork this week at
Paint Party Friday and get inspired to do some of your own painting!
Again sorry for the terrible photo!

Lynn, from a fellow muralist, fabulous! For years I painted murals anywhere from 8x8 to 8x96! But with health issues had to switch to less strenuous art forms. Anyway, your work is wonderful - thanks for sharing!

Howdy special lady,

What a lovely mural. You are such an amazing talent, and I'm so fortunate to have met you in this cyber world. Sorry I haven't gotten my medical stuff off to you, but now I'm wondering if you even want it since you're not coming to Phoenix. My doctor, Dr. Anthony Yeung, was just chosen as one of the top doctors in his field. Let me know if you still want my info.

Big hugs, and happy Easter,
Meri
