Cherish Box

I'm still here! A bit busy these days, most of which I can't share with you quite yet.
But here's a piece I did recently. An altered cigar box
I fell in Love with this image from The Graphics Fairy
I made a fabric transfer of her with the printable PC paper then ironed onto fabric, easy peasy!
 Stitched onto layers of fabric.
I painted and distressed the cigar box, some antiqued trinkets.
I guess you could say this is a collaboration of sorts.

The hummingbird from my friend Jo, some lace from Debbie,
metal flowers from Oxana,
and the metal plate from Mindi. What generous friends I have!

All came together to make a Lovely box, Don't you think?

Ohh yes Lynn,
I do think this looks like a very pretty box.
When you said 'transfered onto fabric' I wonder if you used your printer from pc or a medium?

All the added bits just add to the feminine side of things. Fabulous!
Happy creating and happy Easter.
Hugs,
Anna

Definitely. The box is a beauty. It's great how you added pieces you acquired from others and I love the antique look of the box itself. You'd never know it was a cigar box.

Lynn,
This is so pretty. I love seeing how you used so many things that you got from friends. I am so glad you linked onto Brag Monday. I really look forward to that and my inner paper and fabric worker (who hasn't quite found herself yet) loves to see what people do with the images. I was reading some of the comments and I think you need to do your next blog on your transferring techniques. I used Leslie Riley's TAP for twelve sachets I did for a swap and I loved it but it is expensive and I wish there was something else I could use.
Hugs,
Suz
