Happy Halloween!!

Yes that day is finally here, HALLOWEEN although this year I missed out on most of it. Didn't get a chance to do any Halloween decorating or go to any costume parties, but I did get some treats for the kiddies tonight  and I received the most amazing swap gift from the Sweet and Sinister swap. My swap partner was Kim Nielsen, she doesn't have a blog but oh my gosh she was so generous, just look at all the treats she sent me.

I had started to put my swap things together when I became ill so I hadn't been able to finish mine. Poor Kim had to wait to get the rest of hers. I sent on part 1 on time, but the rest is in the mail , no pic of that yet. Don't want to spoil it for her just in case she sees this, but I think she will be pleased.

I hope she liked it so far...

The Bird Lady

Continuing on as a guest designer for The Artistic Stamper. I created a journal using the newest

I thought they went perfectly with the Bird cage Women image from Graphics 45 paper.

Added some lace an embossed leaf image on my cuttlebug and sanded it back. A touch of crinkle ribbon and your ready to have a great journal for birdwatching or just everyday use.

Halloween Pendant

With Halloween just a short time away. I wanted to share this fun Halloween pendant I made with the Newest Halloween images from Artistic Outpost 

Haunted Halloween.

Its made from copper sheeting and I stamped lots of the fun images on the inside pages. It strung from the fun new silk ribbon that's also for sale on the site! A ghoulish treat for your special Trick or Treater!

Update on my condition

Hi bloggers, I thought I had better try and post this so Vic doesn't have to.
I've been home from the hospital for two weeks ago today trying to heal. I went to the Dr. Tuesday and he had to cut me open again, I had to areas on either side of my wound that were still filled with infection. Dr. cleaned it out hoping to get it all.
oh my was it ever painful, Vic cleans my wound three times a day with a wet/dry pack. going up inside my abdomen about 3 inches! When I got home from the Dr.s I became violently ill and haven't been able to keep anything down, and I have an area way up high that I believe is still full of infection, he prescribed some anti nausea meds and strong antibiotics. unfortunately I'm having to go back into the hospital (St Als) tomorrow so they can open me back up. Then their putting me on some kind of pump to hopefully get rid of the infection altogether.  I sure hope this works , not sure how long I will be gone but say a few prayers if you will!

I'm sure it looks as if I have been better, but I did all the artwork on my blog way before I got sick.

Halloween Slide Mailer Swap

Awhile back I did a set of slide mailers for a Halloween swap on Alpha Stamps.

It was a 3 for 3 swap. The swap is now closed but you can always get in on the next one.

While I was in the hospital all of these magazines came.
 I'm Thrilled to be published in more of Stampington wonderful magazines.

A double page spread in Belle Armoire Jewelry featuring three of my cuff bracelets. The Farm fresh fabric cuff uses rubber stamps from Oxford Impressions Farm boy and Country girl. Time to play A fabric and lace cuff has a sweet doll images from Retro Cafe Art  tucked inside a watch face. And Games People play is a copper and brass embossed metal cuff that has an image from Art Chix Studios

The newest Stampers Sampler were I share pages with many of my Stamping friends... Tracy Evans Who made the cover!!! Deb Corder, Louise Granlund, Lynne Moncrieff, Wanda Hentges and my BF Debbie Emmons who has eight pieces published. Its so nice to be among so much talent!

When I was asked to be A Guest designer for the month of Oct. for The Artistic Stamper 

I knew I wanted to create something really special for Halloween and I knew just the stamp that would do it. This  Raven Airmail bird stamp was the inspiration for my piece.

Thank you to all my blogger friends, family  and close friends for all you prayer chains and well wishes. I truly believe it was all of you who have gotten me through this terrible ordeal. I can honestly say I have never been in so much pain before for so long, And to my DH Vic who was kind enough to keep you updated. My Dr who saved my life. and  told me I am one lucky lady to still be here!. For all the visits, phone calls, cards, flowers and gifts and To Carolyn who's CARE bear never left my side even as I sit here. Thank you Inka for the use of your laptop. Vic was able to keep me aware of all your prayers. Its is going to be a long recovery process but I will post when I can and am able to sit for longer periods,
I do have several preposts done and those will be on my blog soon.
Thank you MOM for being there for me too. I Love you all.
