wood carving-Sharpshin Hawk

I have been a wildlife artist for many years and one of the mediums I work in is wood carving.I thought I might share one pieces every week or so. I carve mostly birds of prey. This is a sharp shinned Hawk carved from Tupelo .I carved the glove from wood as well.I wood burn each feather before its painted and weld the feet from metal and cover them with a epoxy skin that I then texture. Here are some detailed close ups of my bird, sorry the photography is so bad. I really need a new camera. :) I hope you enjoyed a peek into my other art.
