The grace she casts on the Fae helps to pollinate the flowers.

Pay It Forward- Soldered Pendants

Recently I signed up for the Pay it Forward, I was surprised how quickly it filled up
and didn't catch how many had signed up before I had nine already.
Its usually five. So I went to work on creating something I
thought everyone might like. I made everyone these little glass soldered pendants.

They stand about 1 1/2" tall x 1" wide.
I had originally seen something like it in a magazine, but they were
done for a wedding with rings and cakes.
I changed mine up a bit and went with Crosses, Eiffel tower and mini frozen Charlotte dolls.
the bottoms have vintage rhinestones

The tops have filigree pieces. All the soldering is antiqued.
and they all hang from ribbon. (not shown)
I have two extras I will be selling in my Etsy shop soon.
Hope all you ladies like them!!!

For the dogs- Paint Party Friday

Are you a dog Lover? I am. Knowing the dog personally
made it even easier to capture
her likeness in oil pastels.
The top one is done of Aggie- A bearded collie that belonged to a friend of mine.
Shown in 3 different stages of her life, Puppy to middle age to growing older.
Sadly Aggie passed away a few months ago.
She is missed but will live on forever in her portrait.
This is a very large oil pastel, about 24 x 36 framed

These are my little darlings  spoiled brats. My teacup  Min pins, both about 5 lbs.
Tiffany the mom is on the left and Razzy on the right.
This is also a oil pastel.
Now go hug your dog!!

I'm entering these  at Paint Party Friday

Pay it Forward

above image from The Graphics Fairy

Wow you ladies are quick! I'm so glad so many of you would like to Pay it Forward.
I forgot I had preposted this ,so in the spirit of what it is intended  I will
send all nine of you something!!!! But you still only need to do your five!

What a Lovely idea!!!!
Just read about this over at Art Joy Stuff.

The first 5 visitors who leave a comment on this post will receive a gift handmade by me especially for you.
Here's the catch (but the best part):
FIRST you must create a post on your blog explaining Pay It Forward 2011.
Create and send a handmade gift to the first 5 visitors to comment on your post &
who agree to do the same.
No pressure, you do not have to make and send your gifties today, or even tomorrow.
Remember it is a gift from the heart, which takes a little time.

This is all about friendship and sharing.
 Blessings, Lynn

Mini book- school days

I Love finding different things to alter. In this case a mini composition book.
Stamped the image from Artistic Outpost on tissue paper
then used multi medium to collage the background papers, some of Tim's tissue tape.
Then added a metal corner and a vintage pen nib. Easy Peasy!
Leave a comment if you would like this little book and I'll
draw a # on Sunday and send it to someone!

CCC Finale

I can't believe this is the last challenge for CCC.
Over at Studio L 3. the Grand finale challenge is for Design Details.
I thought the stitching would be perfect for my collage of
images from Oxford Impressions Dress forms stamps.
I did add the little brads at the top but they are hard to see
up against the embossed metal.
I know Linda has something special planned to keep us going!!!
hummmm... Wonder what it is???

Faux Friday and Some Thank You's

Time to share another one of my murals. I hope your all not getting tired of these yet?
This is Atlantis Dental. So of course the theme had to be water.
This is a round wall where the reception desk is.

Far side of round wall. lots of fun fish and sea creatures!

Of course we needed a whale. LOL

I did all the beams and pillars to look like marble.
The sky has lots of soft clouds with touches of pinks.

You can see just a bit of the pillars and the wall on top is rounded
and lite up. Its really pretty with the lights on it.

Next some THANK YOUS

Last night I went to dinner with my dear friends Debbie and Mindi.
At the end of the evening Debbie surprised us both with these gorgeous boxes.

Look at that ribbon rose pin she made for the top. Isn't it just beautiful!!!
and I can wear it too.!!!

When I got home I opened it up and look what was inside.
Gorgeous laces and pearls. She knows me soooo well!! Swoon!!!

and this darling tag she made. We were supposed to get together at Christmas
but was a crazy time of year for all of us. and one of Tim's awesome stamps!!

But check this out!!! Who signed the back of the tag?
TIM himself!!!! Debbie met him earlier last year,
Don't know how she kept this a secret for so long!!
Thank you my dear friend, You are such an amazing lady and I'm so lucky to
have you and Mindi in my life!!!!

Oh to be a Queen!!

I have to tell you I have been holding back. I made this crown and doll
last summer and had grand illusions I was going to submit it for possible
publication, Well I still haven't gotten around to it. So when I saw
the challenge on Gingersnap Creations Was crowns I knew it was time to share
my Marie Antoinette Crown I made.
Last summer I had purchased a poor little vintage doll at an estate sale.
Who's legs and arms were broken, Her skirt had been home to a spiders nest. I knew she was in bad need of a makeover.
I striped her down and found a bird cage for her skirt. made her clothes and adorned her with the jewels a proper Queen would wear.

For her crowning touch a nest from a handmade flower ,pearl eggs and a bird with a long feather tail.
Inside holds a bouquet of the same handmade flowers and a sweet bird making
her skirt a Home sweet Home!
Oh to be a Queen!!!!

Also entering this in the anything but a card challenge at Cheerful Stamp Pad.

Anyone for Hot Cocoa?

I know most of us are anxiously waiting for spring. But until it gets here. How about
a cup of Hot Cocoa? I thought it would be fun to incorporate the challenge #34 at
Studio L 3  Dimensional collage fragments with
the stamps are from Artistic Outpost New Think and Wonder plate.
