Halloween 13 to 31
Countdown Calender
Thrilled to be a Guest this Halloween Season for
Where the theme is TO DIE FOR
Inspired by who else but Tim Holtz
Products Used Tim Holtz:
Dies Big Dies: Rickety House, Gothic Boo,
Decorative Strip: Halloween shadows
On The Edge Dies: Graveyard, On the Fence
Distress ink : Vintage photo.
Idea-ology: Plaquetts
Grunge paper
Other Products used:
Christmas tree shaped boxes
Circle punch,
Misc papers, Glue,
Scissors
Brads for drawer pulls, Misc #'s for drawers.
Green flower soft,
Black and grey paint
Mini Pumpkins
Black Glitter
Well this isn't exactly the boxes I started with, but close enough.
They didn't have the back on it.
Found at my local craft store just waiting to be altered.
I took the boxes apart. Counted out enough for 13 to 31 days.
Then figured out how I wanted to arrange them.
I knew I wanted to use several of Tim's dies as my focal point.
So I left the center open to set my scene.
I cut a variety of papers to fit the fronts of the boxes and
used a punch for the circular area.
Painted all of the boxes black, glued on the papers.
Then started die cutting the images.
I punched a small hole in each drawer and used a brad for the pulls.
Edged each drawer with Vintage Photo distress ink
Close up of the center scene.
I used grunge board for the boo, painted black and added black glitter
Punched out the tombstones
painted grey and added green flower soft for moss.
Glued on the # for each drawer added a skull and some pumpkins.
Could you image receiving a countdown calender like this for Halloween?
Especially if each drawer was filled with
TIM HOLTZ goodies!!!
TO DIE FOR INDEED!!!!
