Final Voyage- A Siren's Song

Honestly I don't know where the summer has gone. I'm calling this my Bummer Summer as all I've really done is work. I guess that's much better than not having work, but not much time to play makes me cranky.
O.K. enough about that. Here's a little something I had a BLAST creating..

I call this a Story box. It opens in the front to reveal a fabric story board.
You turn the sea urchin knobs on top to move the fabric to tell the story.
Stamped images by Oxford Impressions and collage images by Alpha Stamps

Its about a sailor leaving his family behind on his ocean journey

Only to be lured into the sea by the Sirens Song

The End  shows his little girl mourning her father passing.

There are many more panels but only posted a few so you get the idea.
Hope your summer is going well.

Brilliant again my dear! This reminds me of something similar when I was a young girl...but not so beautiful. Bummer Summer will soon be gone and you hopefully will have more time to play. Pure Bliss...

Such a great piece, Lynn. I SO know what you mean about not getting enough play time! I've worked all summer too, and I get depressed with out my play time. Bleh. Maybe cranky is better??? lol! I hope we both find our play time very soon! (I am grateful for work--I've experienced the alternative--but I would love a two-month sabbatical!)
