So I've been Thinking....

A few weeks ago when I met with Jann from A Vintage Heart for coffee. She was asking me about what I do for a living. I was going to meet up with a customer later that day and just so happended to have my portfolio in my car. I asked if she wanted to see it. She said "yes" and after seeing what I do she asked me why I don't share photos of my work on my blog.  I didn't think anyone would be interested. So what do you think? Would you like to see my work? I was thinking of starting another blog that shows my fine art and my murals and faux finishes. If I do I'll only post on it once a week since I don't have a lot of free time. Let me know how you feel about it. If I get much of a response I'll do it. If not thats o.k. too.

Here's a couple of Watercolors I did.
An old building in Idaho city.
These are a couple of watercolors I painted for my MIL a few years back. not my favorite medium to work in. I tend to do more detailed work in Gouache, acrylics and oils.

I can't take full credit for this one. My MIL was on a cruise and took a snapshot of a painting she fell in love with and asked me to re-create it for her, so I did. Another watercolor.

Hey Lynn! Your paintings are beautiful and I would love to see them posted here on this blog. I wouldn't go to the trouble of setting up another blog just for that purpose, unless of course you want to!

Hugs,

Beautiful work! Watercolors are a difficult and rather unforgiving medium to work with...so I really appreciate the hard work here, and fantastic talent.

TFS!

Oh Yes Lynn, post your work here. I love what you have given us a taste of. I admire anyone who can use water paints and create something rather than a muddy canvas (that would be me) I usually stick to oils or acrylics, oils being the favorite. Can't wait to see what else you have in that portfolio of yours!!!!!

You are just totally amazing, Lynn!!! For some reason, I didn't know you do watercolors! I LOVE that medium...probably my favorite. Our two sons took watercolor lessons for about 7 years and we have everything they did. Neither one stuck with it, though. The one with the most talent picked up pastels in high school, but he hasn't done much as an adult. Beautiful work! I'm glad you're sharing.

Yes, yes, I want to see more. I too struggle with watercolor, but I keep going back for more torture.
I feel a kindred spirit with you, because I too have varied interest, and sometimes have a hard time deciding what i should concentrate on. You obviously have been hiding a great talent.

I am so behind on my blogging comments so excuse the delayed comment on this post. Lynn! Why have you not started this new blog already?!!!
I want to see your beautiful work now!! Will you add some of your faux finishes as well? Please do - I am always wanting to ask fellow fauxers about their techniques and any tips they may have. Your fine art needs to be seen by everyone! So come on girl - get moving!
And by the way - Happy New Year!

I wish you would post more of your watercolors. They are truly wonderful. I have dabbled in watercolors myself, but finally figured out I didn't have the talent for it. But you certainly do, and I loved looking at yours.
