I Made It !!!!

Oh this has been so hard keeping a secret.
But I have some wonderful news to share and finally get to tell you all!

You guessed it! Well pretty hard to miss with the logo staring you in the face! LOL
Yep I made the Alpha Stamps Design Team.
It did come at a cost. I can only do so much and sadly I had to give up the DT's spots for
Gingersnap Creations and I Brake For Stamps. Don't get me wrong I will still be posting and playing along when I can just not on a weekly basis.

I'm so excited to share all the new projects soon.
Alpha Stamps has a couple of really fun Halloween swaps coming up too. If you want to join in visit the blog for more information.

The collage images are from Alpha Stamps
I'll be sharing the others later. Just a taste to get you in the Halloween spirit!

FCD Blog Hop and Candy

So who is ready for a little blog hop and maybe win some blog candy? This hop is being sponsored by FCD
The theme is Inspiring book covers.

Well that was an easy one. I just Love this book Semiprecious Salvage and just look at that cover. I had to have it the first time I laid my eyes upon it and its what has inspired alot of my jewelry pieces.

Its what inspired me to make some of my copper etched pieces. Like the necklace here that uses rubber stamps from FCD  the Women in Character stamps. It hangs from a copper chain with copper beads and a copper butterfly charm.
Or this bracelet using the stamps from the  Theatre Lights plate.
So join on in the hop. Its a circle hop. No beginning and no end. Just start anywhere.  Leave a comment on this post and all posts along the way and Pamela will be picking a surprise Mystery hostess  and use the random # generator to pick the winner from the comments left on that blog and who knows I just may have to add a little blog candy myself. Like maybe one of these pieces!!
Make sure we have a way to contact you.
The hop runs from 8:00 AM Friday Aug 20th EST to Monday  Aug. 23rd 8:00 PM EST.

The next stop in the hop is Michele B at Just Painting Around

3 in 1

I don't usually like to combine challenges but time is short these days so this is for the Kard Krazy Not on paper Tag Tuesday challenge. The CCC Week #10 Using Distress Stickles on Studio L 3 and the Wendy Vecchi  Studio 490 style Challenge on Simon Says

Here's the deets.
For tag Tuesday I used all fabric for my tag, Did a fabric transfer for my image , For Studio L 3  I added the grunge paper wing and scroll both by TH covered with Rock Candy Distress stickles ( I assure you its there even though it doesn't photograph well). The stamp is from I see Paris Image plate from Stampers Anonymous. For Simon Says Did the Grungepaper rose at the top used the memo holder scroll and wings for Vecchi style. I guess that about covers it.

Things with Wings

I thought long and hard about what I was going to make for the very first challenge at Simon Says . The theme is Things with wings. Here's what I came up with!
So your asking yourself... What is it?
Well its my first crown. My Crown of Birds, complete with nest, twigs, flowers and leaves.

A side shot!

A close up.

The crown is made from mat board covered with wallpaper that I distressed. Then I began adding all the nature inspired items, but I could resist the Music paper with the Dove name and flower label.

I had a heck of a time trying to photograph this. These are the best shots I could come up with.
Oh to have a better camera!!!!

CCC- Distress Crackle

I suppose its about time to post my CCC piece. The Lovey Linda from Studio L 3 has chosen Distress Crackle for the flavor of the week.  I did a coaster with this mermaid image and some German scrap from Alpha Stamps. I have to confess I did this for a swap but a perfect way to combine the two.

Guest Designer- FCD

You read it right. I was so thrilled to be asked to be a guest designer for FCD. for the month of August. When I saw the Theater Lights plate and the Women In Character. I knew they belonged together, That was all the inspiration I needed to create my canvas collage.
                                     Raging Thespian

I started by doing the background using a TJ technique Antique Wallpaper with the stars embossing plate. Added some Graphic 45 papers for more of the background and whats a theatre piece without some of Tim's movie real tape. The stamps were all stamped on tissue with Distress inks than mounted to some foam core pieces I cut out and covered with beeswax. I do hope you join me this month while I share the art I did with these wonderful images!
