Someday I hope to see Paris. I can always dream.But for now its fun to create art with the Paris Theme. I used the new set from Artistic Outpost and the Antiqued glimmers technique from TJ for my technique.

Stepping Ouside Your Comfort Zone Make Time to Play

I titled this for two reasons. The first being this is my First Cuff bracelet and while it might not suit everyone its something I had to try. I started this piece about 6 months ago not really knowing where it was headed. I had picked up a bag of vintage brass door plates at a Antique store and began playing around with different ideas I added a watch face with a doll image and a miniature doll ,found this brass plate from some jeans I bought and stamped the text into a scrap of brass. set it on my shelf and there it sat for 6 months. I picked it up last week and asked my DH if he could bend it to fit around a wrist. That was it. It would become a cuff bracelet. I added fabric that I machine and hand stitched. A Vintage lace Collar and button. Finished off with a vintage brass swivel clasp and chain.


So now comes the second part of Stepping Outside my Comfort zone. I have been considering opening up an Etsy store to sell my art that is currently bursting at the seams in my studio. I know that times are tight right now but would Love some feedback from you all. If I'm crazy tell me so!! I won't be offended. Think its a Good idea I'd love to hear that too, If you have an Etsy store yourself I would love to hear what to and Not to do. I would appreciate any feedback you can give me. For those of you who respond I'll drop your name in a hat for a Gift certificate to the new store (if I open one) or just a gift from me if I don't!

Sorry but I couldn't resist the title for this one. With all the Steampunk I have been working on lately. Here's a jewelry piece I did that fits perfectly in the leftover challenge at Mixed Media Monday Since it uses leftover watches, light bulbs, fuses, I think it also might fit for the Faces challenge at
Ink On My Fingers So go through all your junk drawers ,dismantel some watches and have fun playing with Steampunk!
