Best News Ever!!!!!

We have a new limb on our Family tree.

Our son & his wife just had their first baby,
 Making my DH and I Grandma & Grandpa!!!
 His name is Emmett.
He weighed in at 7 lbs 16 oz and is 21" long.
Ten finger's & toe's and Healthy!!
Blond hair, blue eyes
We all couldn't be happier
Were hoping to see him at Christmas.

    Oh Joy and happiness....nothing better than being a grandparent for the first time...or the third or 20th time, for that matter.
    CONGRATULATIONS....!

    We just found out we are going to be GREAT~ GRANDPARENTS for the first time,but I remember when I heard we were going to be first time GRANDparents way back in 1984 and the MEMORY is as thrilling as the day I heard it...and this is the same grandchild who after almost three years of marriage is giving us this great-grandchild.

    Congratulations Lynn - a blessing that will give you joy forever! I never could understand when people would say that their grandchildren were more precious than their children. Seriously?     What excitement! I'm envious....our youngest son has been engaged for at least 3 years and he and Allie have been together for about 6 years, but they haven't married----because she doesn't have time to plan! Ha! Drives me nuts. I'm a lot older than you, so my "grandmother clock" is really ticking. (The oldest son isn't even in the picture anymore....that crazy life of a chef in NY doesn't encourage personal relationships.)
