Many years ago, before cell phones, computers and even the telephone.
People could always send a telegram
for all those important matters that just couldn't wait.
Oxford Impressions brand new stamp plate
London Telegraph
Has lots of Fun vintage images of those days gone by.
Gave this a bit of a Steampunk feel.
With the gears on the sheet. I embedded them into modeling paste
on the center building.
"Can you hear me now?" LOL
What a beauty, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteThis is very lovely...Thank you for sharing today!!
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteI eagerly awaited your London Telegraph art and you have not disappointed. The gears in the paste will have created incredible texture.
Cannot wait for this plate to arrive in the mail - my fingers are getting all twitchy.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteI remember telegrams...I can recall my Mum phoning up to give the message that was to be sent to a family member on their wedding day (the cost was added to the phone bill.
I was most disappointed that they had gone out of fashion and in most areas ceased before I got married - I really wanted one to put in the photo album.
