Thank you's and catching up

Oh my gosh I have some catching up to do. So this is a Hodge podge of a post.

First off some Thank yous for some wonderful gifts from OWOH.

I was in shock when I opened my gift or should I say gifts from Viola.

The texture and colors on this canvas is unbelievable!!!

I knew this gorgeous canvas was on its way but...

So much more came. This cabinet type card. Oh my gosh.

I don't know how she does it.

The layers look like velvet. I've been touching them all and trying to figure out how it was done!

Then this darling tag. Its like she painted over a piece of acetate.

I know the pictures don't do these justice at all. Are you drooling yet????

and this darling soldered charm. Even her packaging is magnificent. I have been a long time admirer of Viola and I count myself very Lucky to now own some of her original pieces.

Next came this darling Fortune Teller ATC from Laura at Artfully Musing.

Laura is an extremely talented artist as well. Her blog is filled with tutorials, gorgeous art and monthly giveaways. Be sure and check out both these blogs.

I promise you will leave inspired by these two very talented artists.

Cake Decorating Party!

For my paper tea cup and saucer I used Royal Birds Clear Art Stamp Set

My frosting is a bit of art glitter and some crept paper fringe I made.

Springs Almost Here- Lets get Hopping!

Hippity Hop oh Hippity Hop and Easters on its way!!! I think were all ready for some Spring weather and that means flowers and bunnies and green grass. Faux Friday- Tiny Wine Cellar

Back to share more of my mural work this week.

This was another one of my favorite murals to do, A tiny little wine cellar.

The owner wanted the illusion that it was bigger. That back wall that I painted is

the entire width of the room. About 5 ft.

So I painted a door and stones and made it look like it went into another room.

Its really to bad about the flash back because the floor really looks like it goes back.

The bottle of wine on the left side was the first bottle of wine he ever collected and he

wanted a special remembrance of it. So I painted it into the background.

The other side of the tiny wine cellar. I was invited to his unveiling with all his friends and let me tell you these people know their wines.

Best FriendsTag

Anyone else tired of winter yet? I know I am and wouldn't you know it we got more snow today, It melted quickly thank goodness but more is on its way. In trying to keep my spirits up that warmer weather is on the horizon I created my tag with sunny colors for 3 challenges this week. First off for Tag Tuesday at Kard Krazy where the theme is Friends. Next for Studio L 3 where its Inking and Stamping Masks. for the CCC challenge. Were coming in to the home stretch on this one folks! Next an easy one on Simon Says Stamp and Show.where the challenge is Tags! The stamps are from Artistic Outpost new plates Ephemeral Backgrounds, Think and Wonder. I also snuck in the flags from Country life.

Day Dreamer

I tried the neatest technique recently, where you copy off a stained glass window image onto a transparency sheet, then you emboss it. Really looks like the real thing! Laura from Artfully Musing has a wonderful tutorial on how to do it if you'd like to check it out, Very Cool!

After it was done it seemed like the perfect backdrop for this little gal sitting comfortably with her book while the hours drift away. The stamps are from Rogue Redhead Designs Relish Reading sheet.

French Bonnets

Wouldn't it be fun to be able to wear the beautiful bonnets and dresses of Yesteryear. Well all except for the corsets. LOL This is a canvas I did.

I flipped it over and worked on the backside.

Using another New Release from Oxford Impressions

Regency Fashion plate.

I thought how fun to include embellishments that a hat maker might use.

Vintage feathers and flowers and even some netting were a must for the well dressed woman of the day.

I colored the images using Watercolor markers technique from Technique Junkies.

Jane Austen-Cigar box

Are you a Jane Austen fan? Have you seen the new stamps from Oxford Impressions ?

Well I had a chance to play with the new images and this is one of the projects I did.

I used an old cigar box, Painted it with black gesso and began to collage lots of music paper, lace, An old ad with rocking chairs. The stamped images from Oxford Impressions, some Vintage flowers plucked from a hat, A silver tray and more.

I had a blast creating this double tag! I managed to combine two challenges again this week.

The first being Kard Krazy A tag on a tag for tag Tuesday. (now say that fast three times) LOL

The other for Linda's CCC at Studio L 3. Where the challenge is Rusted Enamel . I guess I took it literally with the rust part!

The stamps came from Oxford Impressions and the darling Steampunk images came from Inka at Altered Artifacts, she even has some free ones posted right now, so go check um out! I'm also entering this in Inka's Flaunt Friday!!!
