Have you all heard of Pinterest? If not there's a link on my sidebar,
you must go check it out. An amazing site where everyone shares photos of things that interest them.
It was there where I spotted the most amazing pendants made from Silver clay. Yes it was really silver with the real price that goes with them . One piece of AMAZING jewelry can go for $650.00 to $850.00.
I'm not saying its not worth it, it is REAL silver after all. but on my budget I'd never be able to own one.
SO... I set out trying to create my own version using a differet product.
More about that later.
I made this as a Thank You for my Dear blog friend Tracy
who sent me a wonderful Christmas gift.
Remind me next year to have some Thank You gifts Pre-made. LOL
It has a little faux door and a lock and key.
I got word that she received it already so its o.k to share!
My GF's and I are planning a play day with that silver clay.
I can't wait to give it a try!
Hey Pretty Lady,
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing piece girlfriend, you did an amazing job. I've always wanted to try that silver clay since I first heard of it about 18 years ago, but I never got to it. Just keep the beauty coming sweetie!
Love ya'
Meri
This is so perfect a gift for Tracy. Has she recovered from opening the package and seeing this tucked inside?!!!
ReplyDeleteYour imagination is second to none but to take that imagination and actually create the piece, I don't know how you do it Lynn.
Cannot wait to see the results from your forthcoming play date.
Wishes
Lynne
Your creative mind never stops, does it!!! I so admire you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely.... have fun playing. I've tried twice now to join Pinterst, got an email back saying they would let me know when I was "in". Have not heard anything....this has been well over a week, am I doing something wrong? I think I need HELP! Have a great weekend... xoso Sandy
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool Lynn! I am sure she will love it. I tried to pin you but can't. I have been trying to get an "invite" from Pinterest for over 6 months now. I gave a different email this time maybe they didn't like my waxbeachartist one? I clicked on your Facebook too and it seems you do the friend thing :)
ReplyDeleteI found out just yesterday that you can get a subscribe button on FB so that you don't have to friend you can just have them follow your public posts. I don't "friend" anyone but family because sometimes that is where I post medical issues, etc. Boring for them much less someone wanting to follow me for art reasons. I have a fan page but the subscribe is great too! Oh and guess what...? I sent off my very first magazine entry yesterday :) Thanks for all of your help. Your the best!
This is very cool!
ReplyDeleteA little rich for me, too! Can't wait to see what you come up with ~
ReplyDeleteVery unique, beautiful heart. You always have a solution for products not on hand, and your pendant certainly looks like silver.
ReplyDeleteSilver clay, hum, the possibilities are intriguing. Can't wait to see what you all come up with.
