Update on my condition

Hi bloggers, I thought I had better try and post this so Vic doesn't have to.
I've been home from the hospital for two weeks ago today trying to heal. I went to the Dr. Tuesday and he had to cut me open again, I had to areas on either side of my wound that were still filled with infection. Dr. cleaned it out hoping to get it all.
oh my was it ever painful, Vic cleans my wound three times a day with a wet/dry pack. going up inside my abdomen about 3 inches! When I got home from the Dr.s I became violently ill and haven't been able to keep anything down, and I have an area way up high that I believe is still full of infection, he prescribed some anti nausea meds and strong antibiotics. unfortunately I'm having to go back into the hospital (St Als) tomorrow so they can open me back up. Then their putting me on some kind of pump to hopefully get rid of the infection altogether.  I sure hope this works , not sure how long I will be gone but say a few prayers if you will!

I'm sure it looks as if I have been better, but I did all the artwork on my blog way before I got sick.
hugs Lynn

  3. Lynn,
I wondered about that. I think I told you that my sil went through an almost identical situation right before you. I am so sorry they had to open you up today and clean things out and I wonder, why in the world didn't they anesthetize you? It sounds so incredibly painful...I am so sad. I will say a prayer that they take gentle care of you tomorrow. You are such a wonderful person and this is such misery. It's just not fair :-(
    Hugs,

  7. Oh Lynn, I'm so sorry you're still very ill, what a bummer. I'm praying that you will have a speedy recovery, hopefully you will after the next lot of surgery. I caught a nasty in Cuba last November, quite serious, and am still suffering, will take another 2 years, I'm afraid you just have to hang on in there and eventually things start to improve, albeit slowly. Good luck and keep smiling. Big hug from Ann xxxx

  54. Hi Lynn, I can really empathise. Many years ago I had my gall bladder removed. I was in hospital for 3 weeks (it was definately not key hole surgery in thse days) I'd only been home a few days when the wound got infected. Like you, back to hospital, then back home, then back to hospital because of more pain. They discovered I had also had kidney stones. This sounds like a very serious message, but the funny thing is, when I have to be examined for anything now, doctors ask why I have such an enormous scar (It's over a foot long..actually quite a bit more than a foot) and when I tell them it was for a gall bladder removal they fall about laughing, and ask if I had Jack the Ripper as my surgeon) It's a good thing that I've never been slim enough to wear a bikini. lol What I'm trying to say is 'Everything will work OK in the end. I'm a Pagan, so rather than prayers, I'm sending you healing thoughts and Blessings, which I hope you will accept. Get well soon
