Here's the altered box painted to look like wood. I just Love the periscope I made from some hose fittings and rubber tubing!
Some close ups of the Captain , I made the ships wheel from a washer and pearl ended pins painted gold. If you look really close you can see a fish swimming past the porthole!
Wonder whats in the barrel under lock and key? A map rolled into a bottle sits in storage. Of course the gears that keep everything moving!
A creature from the deep done on acetate and real sea shells and coral in the background.

ReplyDeleteSQUEE miniatures! The colors and textures are SO dead-on. I really love it. The size and arrangement of the compartments reminds me of (this is really strange, I know) the set from Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon in the 90's. The rooms were all different like this and it was set up so the audience could see in like this, diorama style. I *love* it!
