Well I'm happy to finally announce our Steampunk birds were
published in the latest issue Of Somerset Studios Gallery.
Theres a Little story behind this so bare with me.
Almost two years ago several of my GFs got together for a day of crafting,
We had decided to make Steampunk birds.
This was way before most knew what Steampunk was.
I had carved the bird bases from wood. Here are our results.
Front page, from L to R. mine, Debbie's, another one of mine and Mindi's
Foreground Inkas Bird- Time Flies
top Close up of Inkas, Center Barbs Maltese Cardinal, bottom
Debbie's Pretty Purdy Peacock
Top my Wings of Wonder, bottom Mindi's Songbird
My Chanson de Parisenne.
I normally wouldn't have shown all five pages but wanted to give credit where credit was due,
These gals did such an amazing job on the Steampunk birds.
Wow Lynn- you never cease to amaze me! I love seeing all of your fabulous ideas! Congrats on being published and thank you for sharing the collection of birds.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the publication....do you mean Stampington has had your birds for TWO YEARS till now with the publishing??? I have heard of some people submitting a card and FIVE years later it shows up in a magazine...nothing like up to date creations:)
ReplyDeleteLynn..once again you have rocked my world. I have 4 styles of birds that really need help and you have given my wheels and gears a spinning. Thanks for the boost and congrats for yet another publishing. IF our cash flow ever picks up I am going to get subscriptions to the various SOMERSET magazines so I won't miss any of your work. TFS.

My art friend and I absolutely LOVE your birds. These are FABULOUS! Now here is the question: What would it take for you to carve up a few and sell them to me? you can e-mail me at jlaux@verizon.net if this is at all something you would consider. OR is there somewhere we could go buy them? Thank you for your consideration and once again, beautiful work and I'll bet you all had fun playing together when you made these.
