With spring almost here I was reminded of a time when my son would
venture out into the yard to Explore all nature had to offer, collecting bugs in his bug house, gathering feathers and twigs, all those things little boys do.That was my inspiration for this Explore card.
Using the images from the newest plates from
Artistic Outpost Huck Finn.
I stamped the main image on a scrap of muslin, added some twine and feathers and
mounted all to a torn book page. Not to worry it wasn't a Huck Finn book!
I hope your spring is full of new adventures!
Beautiful card, TFS
ReplyDeleteBTW - I received my box and I LOVE IT!! Fantastic job! Thank you again!!

Oh..this is so wonderful, Lynn! My boys chased butterflies....and then captured water snakes and brought them home. I drew the line when they brought a big rubber boa home, put him in a glass bowl, and he escaped during the night. We NEVER found that snake...and he did NOT die in the house!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card for a boy!

I have to repeat what others are saying...it does bring back memories of when my sons were young. This is such an awesome way to celebrate memories of early spring. Thanks so much Lynn.
ReplyDeleteI just HAD to tell you how happy this post made me. My "little" boys are 30 and 32, and I have saved nearly every twig and bug they ever presented me. Now I am inspired to create with them.
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of my boys handing me a handful of bugs...

Beautiful card, Lynn. It's a shame that we don't have more male images to work but you perfected this!
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThat is really clever, Lynn, and quite poignant. As the mother of a daughter, I remember all of the rodent funerals. How do you think that would look on a card...haha!
