I'm just getting in under the wire for both these challenges. for Tag Tuesday at
Kard Krazy Its Christmas leftovers. A few things I hadn't put away yet. and At
Studio L3. for the CCC its scribble stains distress. Well let me tell you those little bottles hold a lot of ink. I dropped my bottle of green ink and it went everywhere, All over me and the floor, What a mess. I used almost an entire pkg of baby wipes trying to mop it up. Threw my robe in the wash. Yes I was covered in green ink. Now just wondering how on earth I'm going to get the rest of this ink off my hands. They are a lovely shade of green!
First, I love your tag!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut then, you're too funny. I think we've all done something similar before. I did it with a jar of purple shuimmery ink. I have spots on my carpet and clothes that will never come out!!!
Great tag, Lynn; love the vintage Santa and the sleigh. I do love me some OI stamps and this makes me want MORE! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the green hands mean that you are coming into money!!! Ha!Ha! All kidding aside, this tag is beautiful and such a wonderful use of Christmas leftovers! Love it!

ReplyDeleteAt least your tag is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd, actually, sounds as if you might be a little bit pretty yourself ... I bet you look great in green!
lovely vintage tag Lynn, I bet your fingers will be green for some time yet, every crafters nightmare spilling inks, I usually spray everything so I use a cardboard box now.....still manage to get it everywhere though

Beautiful tag.
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK we have a shampoo called "Head & Shoulders" - it is fab for getting ink off hands. Most effective way is to actually wash your hair with it and the action of running your fingers/hands through your hair removes the ink a treat (doesn't work too well on any ink that you may have got on your nails but polish remover will sometimes deal with this bit).
Hope you aregreen hands free soon.

great tag, and as for dropping bottles of green ink.. now you HAVE to get a craft scrubbie from Ranger!! not that it will remove the ink from your clothes or carpet, but from your hands! ABSOLUTELY!
ReplyDeletehugs xx
Lovely tag - hope you've got the green off by now!
ReplyDeleteET phone home if you are still a little green I'm told toothpaste works!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag that background is fabulous XOXO Zoe
This turned out really pretty!

Hugs,
Marie
WOW! What a gorgeous tag.. I didn't get a chance to play in Tag Tuesday.. Maybe this week!
ReplyDeleteYou really do love playing in ink! Hee Hee.. Hugs, Linda
Hi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI've been really blessed (knock on wood)with not dropping my inks, but I have gotten them all over my hands before, so I know what ya' mean. Sometimes washing with shampoo works, as one of the ingredients helps with the ink removal (not 100% guarantee). Well, I'm off to the craft store for supplies for your sculpt. I can't wait to start it, I just have to shove all the shadowbox goodies off my six worktables and get to it!
Hugs,
Meri
Hey, I'm still playing Christmas in my studio! Getting a head start on next year while I'm still in the mood. Lovely tag. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLOL I have managed to do that with my inks too Lynn. Fabulous tag and I love the technique and well done you managing to use leftovers. Tracy Evans x

ReplyDeleteFabulous tag, love Santa Claus and the Sleigh ... feels like Christmas is coming (lol).
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any accidents with ink yet but colouring sugarpaste produces similar results and I normally run around with stained hands for days!
