Blogerette Sorority

Hey Sisters!!! Karen at Some Days Are Diamonds  started up this fun blog Sorority. For the Rush you were to use the picture she provided.

Here's my piece for Rush, even though its late. I hope they don't kick me out!
I did a copy of the picture on organza ,Stitched it to fabric and added laces, flowers and mounted it all top a board.

You were also supposed to include yourself in the picture, Well since I don't have photoshop I had my DH take my picture with my finished piece, BTW. I do have hair ,its just pulled back in a ponytail! LOL. It was hot today! If you have a chance go see everyone Else's art. I'm off to check them out!

So many have been asking how to print on the organza, I thought I'd add a little how to here. You can print on just about any fabric.  Cut a piece of freezer paper and using a hot iron. Iron it to your fabric, shiny side to fabric, Cut to fit your printer and print. That's it. Let me know how it turns out.

I love it! How do you print on fabric and is organza the best fabric to print on? I would love to try this as a label for my granddaughter's quilt but a little hesitant (okay, I'm chicken to try new things!).

Didn't join the sorority yet but next time for sure!

Your creation of laces and such is just adorable. Nice workk and I love the sepia feel of it!
Wonder if there are anymore CO gals in the Sister-hood?

It was SO great to meet you, sister!! I love your creation and I really appreciate your hint about printing on fabric. I bought the freezer paper after reading that you could do that, but I was a chicken, thinking I would mess up my printer...now, I will give it a try!! Do you "heat set" the design to keep it from smearing...or does it even need that?

I look forward to many more visits with you!!

Oh, and I LOVED that g.sale...sure wish I lived close to that event!!
